Juanita's family moved from Spain to Venezuela.  On the way to Venezuela they made a stop in Trinidad, where Juanita met Mr. Rodriguez and conceived Carmelita Conception.  Juanita, as a consequence, stayed in Trinidad, while her family went on to Venezuela.

She later married Joseph Pereira and had four other children.
